The Lord is Good

“Nurses, you can make a difference in your lives if you are willing to launch into the deep with Jesus” challenged Assistant Pastor Yip Khoon Mei during the Singapore Nurses Christian Fellowship’s (SNCF) Dedication Service. About 130 people including members, mentors and friends attended the Dedication Service and Tea reception on 26 July, 2003 at the Social Hall of the Salvation Army Headquarter at 20, Bishan Street 22.

A short slide presentation, entitled ”God is good“ recounted 42 years of God’s faithful provision of a workbase beginning from homes to churches and now to the current premise. Highlight of the service was when all nurses present were invited to dedicate themselves afresh to be Christ’s disciples in Nursing. Pastor Khoon Mei, a SNCFer and returned missionary, prayed for all the nurses. With their lighted candles, the nurses pledged themselves to serve God with renewed faith.

After the service many stayed behind to browse and buy from the craft stall. We thank God for all the donated items from members and friends that made it possible for us to hold the craft sale.

We see God’s hand in timely provision of a workbase whenever the need arises. Truly God is good. (Nahum 1:7) SNCF is grateful to all who contributed and supported the occasion to make it a memorable one.
