Be A Mentor

.Mentors having a time of fellowship with students
.during the Workbase Dedication

Since 1993, the Lord has opened the door for SNCF to be involved with foreign student ministry in partnership with churches, as well as members and friends. These students are recruited to be trained as nurses and other allied health care professional at the Nanyang Polytechnic. They spend an average of 10 years in Singapore.

SNCF introduced the Foreign Student Mentor Programme with the following objectives:-

1.
To co-ordinate and channel students to Christian mentors
2. To provide professional nursing perspective in the mentoring process

Mentors were oriented to help the students to settle in to Singapore by providing friendship, encouragement and support. SNCF also organized mentors’ meeting 2-3 times a year for feedback and sharing. Through the mentoring programme, mentors could provide friendship and practical help besides helping the students with their learning of English.

Mentors Needed for 2004

At the end of this year, 2003, another new batch of foreign nursing students will arrive. SNCF is again looking for mentors to befriend these students. Are you willing to step forth in faith and work in partnership with us to be involved in this special ministry?
